This World is Not Our Home
This world is not our home and I am so grateful for that. It seems like life is just not like it used to be and I keep hearing of all the hurt instead of great things. I start getting down about everything and just can't wait till Heaven. But... every single night I get to see a little piece of Heaven and how wonderful it will be. It's a rare feeling to be able to feel so happy in this world but I get to. My favorite part of the day is putting Jett to sleep. He loves the changing table. He loves it more than any of his toys and it's so fun changing his diaper. He thinks it hilarious and just laughs his little head off. When he laughs so hard, he get the hick ups and it's so cute! Then I swaddle him and put his paci in. I turn on the little lamp and we sit in our big comfy chair (thanks to Bonnie) and start our book. He loves reading books. He gets really quiet and looks at the picture and then looks back at me while I am reading. He looks back and forth and I try to keep reading but it's so hard not to stop and just play with him. This is my favorite part of my day. I want to cry thinking about it and how precious this moment is. All the other things going on disappear and this is my perfect time with Jett and God. I love God. He has given me the best gifts in life. His son, Jesus and my son, Jett. I am so grateful and can't wait till Heaven when I will see moments like these all the time! Thank you for this sunshine, God when things are gray.
